there's a great deal of celebrating going on in America right now...
Celebrating that took place after California's electoral votes put Obama over the 270 mark and won him the election...
But with all the cheering and yelling, nobody noticed...
PROP 8 PASSED.
I guess we're ready for a black president, but gays have to sit at the back of the bus.

A bittersweet day. We in Washington were nervously watching how the masses would vote in CA....and we are saddened and sorry.
Perhaps now that we have a president who doesn't surround himself with Rove-like cronies, we will not be used as bait for the far right.
Let's hope that some that there's some votes that haven't been counted yet and it turns the tide.
Tengo triste. There is no such thing as separate but equal. Why have we not learned the lessons of history?
